MANILA, Philippines—(UPDATE) The Bureau of Food and Drugs on Friday finally released a partial list of 54 milk and milk-based products from China which it said would be subject to testing, a day after it issued an order temporarily banning such products coming from the Chinese mainland.

In a statement, Presidential Deputy spokesperson Lorelie Fajardo said the Palace never commissioned the survey, adding that the 2010 elections is far away from President Gloria Arroyo’s attention. She added the Arroyo administration is busy attending to the needs of the people and solving the problems that the country is facing, particularly the peace and security situation in Mindanao.
