Policy tweaks could come between Monetary Board meetings

The Monetary Board could change policy earlier than a regular six-week horizon should circumstances call for such, a central bank official yesterday said.

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Deputy Governor Diwa C. Guinigundo said the Monetary Board had enough flexibility to deliver policy actions, especially in instances of much more apparent threats to its inflation target.
