SENATE probers are expanding their inquiry into the controversial $329-million national broadband network (NBN) deal to pinpoint responsibility for the “abduction” of a key witness in the transaction earlier aborted by Malacañang amid claims of anomalies that implicated prominent personalities identified with the Arroyo administration.

Villar and the chairmen of the three committees—Sens. Alan Cayetano (blue ribbon), Mar Roxas (trade) and Rodolfo Biazon (defense)— agreed to invite PNP Chief Razon to explain the police’s participation in the disappearance of Lozada.
