MalacaƱang announced yesterday the appointment of Labor Secretary Arturo Brion to the Supreme Court.

Brion, 61, took his oath yesterday as the 15th justice of the SC, replacing Associate Justice Angelina Sandoval-Gutierrez who retired last Feb. 27.

Tariff cut on imported oil products takes effect April 1

Speaker asks DepEd to explain ‘pork barrel’

He asked the Department of Education to help distribute to pupils and teachers a pamphlet entitled “Understanding the Pork Barrel,” which he co-authored with Albay Rep. Edcel Lagman, chairman of the House Appropriations Committee.
