Even as the Senate prioritizes deliberations on the P1.23-trillion national budget, Senate budget hearings are not expected to slow down the inquiries slated by several joint panels hearing the case of the Malacañang distributed cash gifts of P500,000 each encased in a gift paper bag given to some 190 congressmen and scores of local officials led by governors last Oct. 11 in the Palace premises.
